April Favorites 2013

Essie Tart Deco - I was so excited to dig out one of my all-time favorite spring and summer nail polishes. I love this color on fingers and toes, especially as I *try* to develop a tan.

Biking As the weather is starting to get warmer here, I've rediscovered my love for riding my bike. Not only is it great exercise, but I find myself styling my outfits on how they'll look while I'm biking.

Special K Chocolatey Pretzel Bars I have been loving these snack bars! They satisfy my craving for sweet and salty snacks, and are full of protein which I need for the day.

Lilly Pulitzer Wristlet I sadly retired my 3 year old wallet from Target, and picked up this wristlet from Lilly. It has tons of compartments for everything I need and and it's perfect for on the go. You can read more about it here

Sigma F80 I had a "Don't Purchase Any Makeup March" which ended up extending into April. Thus, I have no makeup favorites for the month except for my continuing love for my Sigma F80 brush. Love this guy for bronzer and powder!

Pink Sleeveless Top I showed this top in a haul a couple months ago, and though I haven't really worn it much, I've been admiring it in my closet. It will be a great addition to my summer wardrobe!

Cooking Dash Last but not least, I have taken Cooking Dash as my new iPad passion. I love to play it in the morning or while I'm relaxing at night. There's something so wonderful about making Flo rush around multitasking while I sit and enjoy myself...

What were your products during the month of April?

Jewelry Organization Idea

About a year ago, a friend and I were looking around at a yard sale and found this adorable tea set. We ended up getting it for free, and I ]started using it as a way to store some of my jewelry! Sets like this are so easy to find and make for the perfect accent in most homes. How do you store your jewelry?

Weekly Update

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope you all are having a nice week so far! Here's what I've been up to.

xoxo Morgan

First of all, being a Boston native myself, the events of last Monday hit home especially hard. It was truly amazing to see this chalk art on Newbury, and it made me think how cool it is that a group of people can come together and do such good things.

Speaking of Boston, the weather here has been so odd! Yesterday it was 38 degrees and today it's 70! (My thermometer is a bit of a drama queen)

I was lucky enough to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather. I can't wait until it's warm enough to go swimming in this ocean!

Lastly, here's a look at my OOTD for tomorrow. Like everyone and their mother, I am certainly a mint fan. I picked up these capris and top from H&M the other day, and I think the top will be just darling with white crops and various shorts.

What's on your mind?

Quick Daily Routine + Mini Reviews

The first item in my routine is Maybelline BB Cream. I love that it has SPF 30 in it and that it doesn't collect on my skin. I drew a dot with eyeliner to show you the coverage. It's pretty light, but the illuminating ingredient in the product makes it less noticeable.

Next I use eyeshadow. One of my favorites is the beloved MAC All That Glitters. So pigmented and gorgeous!

Third in my routine is Benefit They're Real Mascara. I love that this product's thick wand enhances my lashes' volume and lasts all day without smudging.

Last but not least, of course I use my Benefit High Beam on a regular basis. I've talked about this product so many times, you're probably sick of hearing about it. I love the gleam it gives to the cheekbones and its effortless looking application.

Spring Fashion Haul!

Happy Wednesday! From today on, I'm gonna try my best to post daily. Starting with a spring fashion haul! Sorry if the pictures don't flatter the clothes, I hope to make a spring outfit post soon. See you tomorrow:)

I purchased this bubble necklace from Amazon. Shhh... it's not really J. Crew.

I was in dire need of a new wallet, and when I saw this one I think my heart stopped. It fits everything I need; cards, cash, coins, lipgloss, and even a special compartment for my phone! Not to mention the fact that it's Lilly, and I feel so safe carrying it on my wrist.

While I was at Gap the other day I could not pass up this adorable little number. Although it was a bit pricey, it's made of such a nice material and I know it will get a TON of use this summer.

I picked up this shirt, or should I see, these shirts a while ago. I love the fact that they're separate, but can be worn together and look very boho chic.

This bathing suit top is my new pride and joy. I know, I know, it's the same pattern as my wristlet, but when I find a Lilly pattern that I love, I can't really put it down. I think it's safe to say that Shorely Blue is the new Ugotta Regatta.

Last but not least, I purchased this stunning dress from H&M. It has a mint lining with this adorable white lace overlay. It can easily be dressed up and down and is so flattering.

My Breakfast with Just 4 Ingredients

Good morning everyone! Today I'm gonna show you how I make my super easy breakfast "omelet" every morning with just a few simple ingredients. I know you probably know how to cook an omelet, but perhaps you'll take enjoyment in seeing my poor attempt at one. Good luck!

xoxo Morgan

To start, you're gonna need

1 egg
1/4 cup shredded cheese of any kind
1/4 onion
1/4 tomato

You can also switch up the vegetables. I love peppers, shallots, shredded carrots, and sweet potato!

For cooking supplies, gather

knife
saute pan
spatula

Step 1

Mince your vegetables. I like to place mine next to the stove for easy access while cooking.

Step 2

Scramble your egg in a bowl.
Tip: For restaurant style eggs, add a splash of milk before scrambling.

Step 3

Set your stove on Medium heat. I like to add about a dime size about of unsalted butter to my pan, just to prepare my cooking surface.

Step 4

Pour the egg on the pan. Don't worry about perfection here, it'll all work out.

Step 5

Let your egg solidify for about 45 seconds or so. You'll know it's been solidified when you lift the pan slightly and it doesn't drip.

Step 6

Add in your ingredients. Sprinkle on the cheese and vegetables, again not worrying about specific placement.

Step 7

After another 30 seconds, gift your omelet a check to see if it's browned a bit. From here, you can attempt to fold it over as best you can. I personally can rarely accomplish this and end up with a mere omelet salad sort of thing.

Move your "omelet" to a plate, season with salt or pepper, and enjoy! I love adding a raw vegetable or fruit to my breakfast.

What do you like in your omelet?

March Favorites

Happy Saturday everyone! I know it's been a while since my last post, but if you remember my post about sewing a blanket, I told you about how I sewed through my fingernail and out the other side. I thought it was healing, but when it really started to look infected, I went to the doctor where they discovered a 1/2" piece of the needle was fully submerged in my finger, and had been sitting there since the accident 3 months ago. A diagnosis of Osteomyelitis (otherwise known as a bone infection) and an operation later, I'm on the road to a recovered finger. With that said, I thought I'd do a belated March Favorites. Hope you enjoy!
xoxo Morgan

1. Benefit They're Real Mascara I purchased this product back in November and wasn't happy with its supreme thickness. I decided to pick it up again this month, and using a lighter hand, I've come to really enjoy it! It enhances my lashes' volume and honestly looks like fake lashes!

2. Maybelline Are you Red-dy? This lipstick is a vibrant red with a blueish orange undertone. Although great for special occasions, I find that wearing it blended and with

3. Mac Deelight Cremesheen Lipgloss looks great! This color is my natural lip color but better! I love the way it wears and it isn't sticky at all! The Cremesheen line is definitely high end quality and I highly recommend them!

4. Olay Fresh Effects Cleansing System I decided to pick up this product last week since I was on the market for a shine reducing, pore cleansing cleanser. I love the vibrating brush and after just one week, those mini blemishes that have been trapped in my pores for months are finally surfacing! So far I'm very happy with this product and you can look forward to a full review soon!

5. Nike Tri-Fit 3 Sneakers For some reason, I've been loving my sneakers lately! I wear them around with cropped leggings, but they're fantastic for actual exercising! I used to get pain in my heels from my old sneakers, but these are so comfortable and oddly make me run faster!

6. Planters Nut-rition Sustaining Energy Mix I recently tried this nut mix, and might I say it's Delicious!!! I like to make sure I've had a lot of protein before I start my day since I'm faint-prone.

7. Caramel Squares I don't know what it is, but I have been popping the caramel squares for the past couple weeks! They're a fun little treat and very tasty.
